    Doesn't a menorah have 7 branches?

It looks like a Menorah but if it is, it's a funeral one, normal ones have 7 branches and feast ones have 9, sorry I don't know the proper names for them.

I am not familiar with a five-branched candelabrum being a "Menorah", but the seven-branched one is and I always associated the nine-branched version with Jewish festival of Hannukah.

The seven-branched Menorah is a (the?) symbol of the state of Israel.
