sugar free syrups

    I've seen recipes on the interweb that use sugar free syrups that use all natural ingredients - eg Stevia but of course they are US based.
    Anyone come across anything like this here?

    You can get agave nectar in health shops or on evergreen.ie.
    Beware of the "sugar free" nature of these syrups especially if it's for a diabetic, agave nectar contains very high levels of fructose and has a similar GI to maple syrup, it'll raise the blood sugar nonetheless. High fructose ingestion has also been linked to heart problems, but thats not conclusive.
