Where to get extra holes in a leather strap?

    Hi, I've been to two Dublin Jewellers and a shoe shoe repair shop today and no luck in getting an extra hole punched in the strap.

    My new watch has a thick leather strap which neither of the jewellers could punch and the shoe shops one was too big.

    Anyone have a recommendation on where to go in Dublin to get this done? It's a steinhart strap so it's pretty tough but I don't want to ruin it either.

    I got this done at a place beside happy ring house on o'connell street - think it might have been breretons but one of those - cost me 10 yo yos I think...

    Easiest thing to do in my experience is to just buy a packet of holes from Ebay or another online source and apply them yourself - you can get packets of ten for about €10 delivered, and save money in the long run. This seller has lots of that type of watch related stuff and the quality is quite good compared to some other hole stockists.

    thanks guys - tried the place beside the happy ring house but they couldn't do it. Will try ebay if I have no luck elsewhere

    You'd get a messy hole with no material removed, it certainly wouldn't look great. OP, I'm very surprised that nobody is offering this service. Perhaps a clothes alterations place might be able to do it for you? :confused:

    I would be of the same opinion...I've seen these tools before for punching holes in leather belts
    Nealry sure I seen them on aldi or lidl once

    Thanks for all the help guys - got a shoe maker in the Jervis st. shopping centre to do it for me today using one of the tools listed on ebay. Price 1 euro :)
