Can anyone tell me what is the cost of having UPC broadband and the basic channel package for a living room and bedroom?

I see a bundle offer of €69.00 but I would not be interested in the home telephone deal in that offer.

    can anyone advise?

If you go for broadband you could get just the 14 odd basic analog channels too ;)

But the quality is very poor so consider getting FTA satellite and saorview as all you'll really get are Discovery, Comedy, MTV , and Nick something

But as it's analog you can view all those channels in any room.

Sometimes it's cheaper to add the phone in than have it separate ;)

Other wise you'll need two UPC boxes to watch two different channels at the same time

an alternative is to use a video sender to transmit the signal to the bedroom - saving you monthly rental on the second box/point

also check out UPC sign up deals too - is the boards one still going ?

not all UPC regions have it - usually old NTL areas, ie. Dublin

any old TV can tune in to them (ie pre digital ones)

If you already have it in one room in the same house it's only 5 Euro per month to add TV in another room in the same house.

Often with their bundles TV+Broadband+phone is cheaper than TV+Broadband. You can get the phone and never use it.

If someone in the house has an account with UPC you would need to check what packages you are on. Beware then of minimum terms of say a year and then also have a downgrade charge if you decide to drop a service later.

What is available in each area varies. Best to ring them on freephone 1908 with your account number or address and ask what services are possible where you live.
