A group of lads - all forty plus are having a couple of nghts out in Cork. We're looking for recomendations from those in the know. No interest in 'boom boom' dj pubs, but lots of interest in good drink, lively athmosphere, live music etc. We'll be staying around the city centre.

As I always say for these threads - start at the bus station end of Oliver Plunkett St and work your way down. There is every sort of pub on OPS and the side streets.

Pretty good suggestion that. Just make sure you don't skip the hi-b.

Loafers on Douglas Street sounds like the place for forty single lads.
