    Here is my situation..

I work part-time in a job that is going nowhere, I'm also doing an internship in the industry that I just received a degree in and they offered me a few hours paid work a week. Naturally this suits me a lot better!

Do you need to be working a certain amount of time with the company before I could claim anything? Would I even be entitled to anything?

    Thanks in advance!

Are you claiming any SW payment at present?

    Hi,

No I opened a claim to see if I could get something for the internship, I havent heard back yet but was told it is unlikely to get it.

From the few details you have given, you won't be entitled to anything, as you were not on the live register when you took up the internship, and you won't be available for work when you are going the internship.
Will you be able to meet your expenses on the paid hours from the new job?
