Monthly lens in one eye & daily lens in the other?

Hi,

I wear monthly contact lens....a toric for my left eye and normal lens for right eye.

I am liking the prices on daysoftcontactlenses...but they don't do lens for astigmatism ....so I was thinking of ordering the lens for my right eye from daysoft and ordering my usual monthly left lens (Purevision) from another site.

I'll be saving so much money, can anyone see a problem with wearing two different types of lens?

Please be very cautious about substituting one lens design for another .

Purevision are a Silicon Hydrogel lens with very high oxygen permeability , these are often suggested for either people who wear their lenses for very long periods of the day or even for "extended wear " where the prescribing optom has cleared the person to sleep in their lenses .

Daysoft are a standard hydrogel , much lower oxygen permeability , quicker to dehydrate than silicon hydrogel and therefore may not be suitable for your wearing schedule .

Vision wise , you may get away with it , using a sphere ( non toric ) in an eye with astigmatism , the only way to test that theory is to test that theory in practice . But I would not substitute a superior material with an inferior material , what ever about the vision .
