Retail management-commercial experience

    Hi there,
Maybe someone might have more of an insight into this. Currently a city center store manager with staff of around 30 with a large turnover. Took over the store 2 years ago when it was on its knees and things have really turned around, probably got lucky that retail sales as a whole have started to pick up a bit in this country.

Looking around at the moment so as to develop my career.. I've gone as far as I can with this company. What I see on most job descriptions apart from the usual management experiences is " Commercial experience" type requirements.

Now I would take this as having contacts, inside experience of competitors etc..is there anything I'm not considering?

Is there anything I could do such as get a certain qualification, join a group etc that would help this side of my CV.

I know its a specialized question but i'd appreciate any views.

    Kind Regards
