    Hi Guys,
My partner and myself are looking for a videographer for our wedding next year. We are looking for someone who is highly professional and pays great attention to detail. We are fully aware that we will have to pay above the normal €800 - €1000 bracket but are happy to do so if we get the high quality work we are looking for. Any useful help that anyone can give will be hugely appreciated.

    Thanks again

We almost booked www.ronanquinn.ie, looked like good videos and price at the time was in your budget (950 Euro I think). Might be what you're looking for.
We went for D-Digital though, which was cheaper for us.

JMB are absolutely fantastic, there are 2 videographers on the day, which is great, as you get lots of different angles! Plus one can be at the house filming all the final touches and the other can be up at the church catching everyone coming in :) I loved the fact that I got o see all that!
They're around the €1400 mark I think....but sooo worth it...

We went with Ronan Quinn in July 2011. Literally can not rate this guy high enough, professional, friendly and easy going but he has a serious talent for what he does. He was starting out so we got a very very good deal, two couple friends of ours have booked him since our wedding so I know his price has gone up a bit since ours, but he is still within your price bracket I'm almost certain.

There are one or two suppliers we used for our wedding I feel the need to recommend when I see their name pop up on wedding boards and his is one of them!

As a a full time videographer, I can tell you to try and look for someone over the €1000 price range. In most cases these guys will put a bit more work in the finished product. A lot of what I have seen in the €700 price range is only sh*t ! ie Dark pictures, colour incorrect ie whites look brown.

When looking for a videographer look for high quality audio, well exposed & correct colour pictures i.e. whites look white not brown.

Ronan Quinn and JMB are very solid performers. You pay for what you get and people who pay small money looking for a bargain are in for some surprise.

    I read this post recently

Make your own mind up !

The bottom line is don't go too cheap, even if you can get the church done by a pro it will be worth it.

Here is some of my own work.

If you really want to push the boat out Velvetine Studios are amazing.

Very, very expensive but by far the best DVD I have seen. A friend of mine who had them had a large budget and her wedding DVD is like a movie. Way out of our budget!

    Hey,

Check out out Beyond the veil wedding video, they do above average videos with lots of colouring and effects for something like a grand. Well worth investigating.

Could try Pink Lime, they're based in Sligo & have some lovely samples on their website. http://www.pinklimevideos.ie/

Thanks for all the posts guys. I think some of you misread it though. I said we are happy to pay above the normal 800 - 1000 euro bracket for a high quality videographer. We decided to go with Pink lime, their work is absolutely amazing, and they pay great attention to detail. I cannot fault their work. For anybody else looking I could not recommend them enough, their finished product is like a movie. Heres a link to their site if anyone is considering

Just seen your recommendation their shortie_chick. We are living in Dublin but getting married in Athlone. There was a small fee for travel expenses for them to come from Sligo, nothing major, but again, well worth the money

I could recommend Catch. They're based in Belfast, top quality work. More of a 'film' style than 'video' Not cheap, but maybe worth talking to.

Thanks edanto. Might not be of any use to me but it would be good to keep the thread going for anyone else who may be interested. I checked out their work and they seem really good, would still recommend Pink Lime though :D
