toyota dyna pick up -

    My friend has just got a dyna ,year 99, model 100,
    anyone know what weight can be put in the back of these, im sure it could take 1 ton anyway.
    He checked the plate but can make out what it says as well wore

    A single wheel Dyna normally has a gvw of 3000kg and weighs approx 1700kg, so you're talking roughly 1300kg payload

    And a tonne is plenty if you have to be the one driving it.:D I've a twin wheel dyna tipper, 4l diesel, 8 leaf springs on each side at the rear, total maximum payload still to be discovered! The single wheel Dynas get very wallowy if you overload them, and much more than a tonne starts pushing it..

    ok thanks, he has to lift about 2 pallets each weighting 900kg each and go about 8-9 miles with it on a good road, he thinks the wee dyna will do it ok since load will be spread out evenly on back. he has to do it in one journey too
