    Hi All,

    Last year I took advantage of the bike to work scheme and got myself my pride and joy ,Cube Attempt. (I know that this is an entry level bike, and I intend upgrading next year).
    To say this started an addiction is probably an understatement, I have probably spent more on the bits and bobs for the bike and me, than I actuall spent on the bike.
    I did a bit of cycling last year and then I found myself taking part in a number of sportives this year (2-3 a month).

    I am not a member of a club (yet) as I am unsure which one to join. Im in dun laoghaire rathdown area and have started to look into a few, but the ones in the area all seem to start in wicklow (i ideally would like to be able to cycle the start of the sat/sun morning spins, without adding an extra 20km to the trip).

    So to fuel my growing addiction I am considering starting to race next year and I am looking for advice on how to go about this. What type of licence do I need, do i have to be a member of a club etc, what is the level I would enter at (Cat A4??)
    I know I would be starting at the very bottom and realise it will be some time before I would be able to compete, but as I enjoy cycling so much I though I would step it up a bit.

    Is it possible to find the resluts for the Cat A4 races for last year (just to give me an idea of the times / distances involved? (and to see if im kidding myself.....:))

    Anyway i'll leave it at that before I ask too many questions.
