    Hi all,

I'm looking for recommendations on a hand luggage bag that I can buy which will fit a weekends worth of luggage in and that will definitely fit in with Ryanair's requirements.

Cost isn't really an issue as it's a necessary purchase but the cheaper the better.

    Thanks all :)

    Try this.

Best piece of luggage I've ever had. Holds everything you'll need and fits all the low cost carriers' restrictions.

    Got two of these :

very happy with them, was able to cram a load of clothes into them, had no problems with fitting the ryanair measuring cage.

    killbill beat me to it!!

I like the Bag Shop. Dunno if they have those everywhere in Ireland but I've seen them in Cork and Galway. We got our hand luggage bags there. Just bring measuring tape and you can't go wrong. Always make sure to include wheels and any other stick-out parts in your measurements.

I find that the soft sports type bags on wheels or the backpacks like in killbillvol2 link are the best - the reason is because they are PLIABLE!!!!! so there are no hard edges stopping you getting it into the stupid frame. Because the clothes can be squashed this way and that you can always get them in and out of the frame - much to the dismay of the Ryanair staff on the gate! Only downside is that it's not ideal if you have anything fragile in it, as there is not much protection. Since changing my cabin baggage to the sports bag on wheels I have never once had an issue with size - I have had a few bitter and disappointed ryanair attendants glare at me, but it always fits in the frame - might need a bit of a squeeze or squash, but it fits, and that is all that matters!
