I'm after getting the cd. Its has 1300 odd pages for rules/questions. These include qs about motorcycles/tractors ect. I'll be applying for car prov licence only. Will I be tested on all 1300+ q's? Or certain sections relevant to those applying for bike licence ect and can be skipped? If so how do i know which q's are for car only provisional licence appliees only?

You will be questioned on them all, but don't worry. It's not that bad! Good luck

    Thx.
Seems silly to me to be asked specific q's wrt to operation of motorcycles ect

I don't think you have to learn those. It's only car related questions you need. Keep doing the mock exam over and over. It helps so much.

Get the theory test DVD and do actual theory tests its much better than staring at a book. For the car i think theres about 800 q's that can be asked and its very do-able if you spend a few evenings doing mock tests

do what the others said, when you log into the CD, and make your profile, just select "car" as your vehicle, what i did was 3 fake theory tests a day,for about 2-3 months, yes i know thats abit over the top, but i knew nothing really about driving and its rules, and i kept reading over the ones i failed, when i finally went in to do my real theory test i got 40/40,i was delighted, so it does help, good luck and have fun

I doing the mock tests with the theory catergory specified and there are no q's about buses /trucks/bikes ect. Does this mean I skip the last 300/400 q's not related to cars on the cd?

Yeah i think thats all you need to know. You would need to learn those if you were going to drive a bus, truck etc. As long as you learned all the car questions you are ok, keep doing the mock test. Did you book it?
