    Ok guys,

Looking for some advice with regards to buying a 2nd hand car, one of the three above.

I am getting rid of my 2005 Renault Scenic.

For the record it is 2005, 97,000Km on the clock. Recently serviced with new tires.

    Car 1 - Mazda3 Touring edition
    2005
    1.5 engine
    104,000Km on clock
Lovely clean car, Nice to drive. Nice features
One snag - rear electric window not working, dealer says he will fix it if we agree a deal. 6 month guarantee.

he is looking for €2,400 with the Scenic. Rating the Scenic at €3,000

    Car 2 - Toyota Corolla
    2006
    144,000Km on clock
1.3 engine so tax is OK
Again a nice clean car but with limited features - No A/C, Manual windows in rear.

He is looking for €2,500 with Scenic and is a trade dealer so standard 3 month guarantee with car, for what it's worth.

    Car 3 - Mazda6
    2005
    75,000Km on clock
1.8 engine so tax will be saucy
Nice car, good features such as cruise control, steering wheel controls.

    So what ye think

Toyoto even though the mileage is highest, should that be a factor? and basic model

Mazda6 for the low mileage but with a higher rate engine. Dealer is in Little Island and am a bit wary with a car with such low mileage.

    or

Mazda3 which is similar mileage to what I am trading and is in good condition?

Mazda6 seemed to be more comfortable that the Mazda3, better headroom
or am I mad and keep the Scenic and hope for the best?

    Ideas suggestions please.

If I were you, I would take Mazda 6 provided it's genuine.

Ive driven a few 6's and I was always impressed with what was on offer.

Good car, you could a hell of a lot worse

Was thinking that, if it is genuine.

Will see if I can get it to my local mechanic for a look over.

Do you think the price is reasonable?

He wants €4,950 so €3,000 for my own and €1,950 cash.

I would have the 6 at the top of my list, lower mileage bigger car, the tax will be an extra few quid but not a whole chunk more.
