Revamp for Parnell place, Cork

    I don't think this has been covered here or elsewhere on boards. Though not strictly cycling-related, it also covers cycling (although plans are not available online, and I didn't have a chance yet to see them). From this description, I have to say it's a quite ambitious and sound plan:

    Overall, it seems there are quite some changes happening in the good direction lately in Cork (see also this post).

    I like the design overall (especially from a pedestrian point of view, it was so badly needed, that place is at the moment an awful place to be walking, especially while pushing buggies), but I have a number of remarks, the most important being the entrance to the contraflow lane from Merchant's quay and the connection between the track on Parnell bridge to the new track on Parnell place. I'm preparing a submission.
