    hi all,
    need a bit of advice about wellies...the OH has very bad feet...prob from years of wearing wellies and jumping in/out of tractors....he needs a lot of arch and heel support..usually buys Hunter....but they are so expensive...and he only gets a few months out of them....anybody any advise on other type to get and where to source them....:)thanks

    Got a pair of belkina, at the ploughing. Expensive but are like nothing i wore before in terms of confort and supports. the name is farmdirect.ie gang up north.

    +1, got a pair recently, they have an insert in the bottom, feet dont get cold int them

    Ever tried the Rigger Boots? I found them very good - especially in winter.
    Found you have to get a 1/2 size bigger or the lining tends to tear a bit.
    Steel sole protector and toe cap - I would never go back to wellingtons.

    I like these too but I still add an additional insole from a sports shop that a runner might use

    anyone find them puraforts wear very quick

    im going through 3-4 pairs a year, and don't wear them much during the summer

    last pair lasted 2 months, and they split at the big toe, where the gear shift on quad hits them

    picked up a pair of belkina this year too and found them good. found riggers can be far too heavy and clumsy when driving.

    I presume that they are the belkina steplite we are talking about. They are on my shopping list next. Had enough cheap ones in my time. These feet need comfort now.
