    1. Not bad.

    2. Yes I think so.

    3. Who knows?

    4. There is mixed feedback on this depending on what version of W8 people are running.

    5. I'd say Software 4 Students.ie is one of the cheapest. I buy all my software there. All you need is a student Email address. Office 2010 Home and Student is €120. You might get it cheap from MS themselves at this stage though. There seems to be another one in the pipeline as many places are offering a free upgrade to the next one if you buy MSO 2010.

    6. OK!

Good Processor, Ok graphics, seems to get a good rating on notebook check

Its price is subjective, you could get a 17" for 600 euro, but the processor in this benchmarks at least twice as good as anything around that range. As its a envy there is an aspect of it being a bit of luxury laptop too. For gaming I would reccomend a laptop with a slower processor and a beefier graphics card, if its productivity on the other had its probably a better setup.

Prices drop weekly on laptops direct it seems, so it will definitely be cheaper in January, but maybe only by 20-30 euro, its pot luck if a particular ends up in on sale.

I would be shocked if office 2010 didn't work on Windows 8
