No doubt we will see a lot more of this in the coming future in America as more and more us government lies are exposed on television. I don't know how so many reporters in this day and age can even hold a straight face. :)

What were the "US government lies" involved in this case?

    More on it here:

"It’s a culmination of ongoing occurrences that took place the last several years and basically involved upper management practices that we both strongly disagreed with,” she explained. “It’s a little complicated, but we were expected to do somewhat unbalanced news, politically, in general.”

“There was a constant disrespecting and belittling of staff and we both felt there was a lack of knowledge from ownership and upper management in running a newsroom to the extent that I was not allowed to structure and direct them professionally,” Michaels explained. “I couldn’t do everything I wanted to as a news director. There was a regular undoing of decisions.

Its kind of obvious that they were spoon fed on what to say during news broadcasts.

It's a small local news station operating in Bangor, Maine. Two news anchors are fed up with management and alleged political bias..

Where are the US government lies?

Sift for random story, embellish/exaggerate story to back an agenda. I think any CTer worth their salt could walk onto a job in Fox News or PressTV :)

Is there any indication as to whether this skewed reporting (if it existed at all) was intended to favour Democrats or the Republicans? Or even different factions in the one party?

Linking this to 'government lies' is beyond tenuous in the absence of any evidence.

After watching that video it looks like they left after personal problems whit each other, rather than censorship of bias.

It's an ABC/Fox affiliate. Chances are the pressure was coming from the Fox boardroom to push a more conservative/anti-democrat agenda, rather than from Government.

It's also a small city station. This is about as shocking and revolutionary as the editor of the Limerick Leader quitting his job.
