Procedure when interviewing for two jobs with one firm?

    Hi folks,

I've been lucky enough to get an interview for two different roles within the same company. I'm a bit nervous about this as I think at least one person (HR) will be on both panels and I'm afraid of boring them by repeating myself. There is a fair bit of overlap between the two roles.

I've been out of work for a while so I only have one suit (female). Could I get away with wearing the same thing both days or would this give a bad impression? I could borrow something from a friend if needed. It's a very corporate position so needs formalwear for the interview.

Anyone have experience with a similar situation?

How far apart are the interviewing?

If you are going for two different roles then you will need to tailor your answers to each job. If one is for a sales role you need to point to examples in your career where you have brought in the business. If the other role is different then you need to point to the specific areas of experience that are relevant to the job. The fact that an individual is sitting in on both interviews should make any difference.

Script your answers and think through the potential questions. This will give you a good basis for being original and different in both interviews. Don't forget that when it comes to the end and you get a chance to ask some questions, make them original and different, relevant to the job.

Don't fret about the same suit. It your answers and experience that count.

    Best of luck with it.
