One of my pet hates this and delighted to see some manufacturers are giving up on this. We had a 00 Golf and a 06 Megane that had a lovely rubberised coating to the plastics which felt nice, but within a few years started peeling away and looked really shoddy. I see the latest models from both of them have ditched it. Nice to see them choosing longevity over short term feel good factor.
