Plastic / Rubber Mold Fabrication for Car Phone Mount in Ireland

Hi folks, quick question for you that hopefully you can help me with. A little backstory first...

I own a 2006 Grande Punto that I adore but one of the main gripes is lack of decent cup holders (because Fiat just don't do good ones apparently). There are two directly in front of the gearstick that you can't even fit a can of coke into width wise or bottle height wise. Even if a little cup fits, the gearstick gets in the way when changing gears. Anyway... I've decided I would like to get a mould created in this area to fit my phone (as my Aux-In cable comes out here).

Here is the cup holder area itself and my bit of vision for a phone mount too. I would like the plastic / hard rubber to fill the whole area and the mount on top of it...

Anyone know somewhere in Ireland (or Dublin) that would fabricate something like this for me? Thanks, I'd really appreciate it! :)

I am serious, making moulds is expensive stuff.
You have to make quite a few parts before they pay for the moulding alone.
If you want to try moulding yourself get some RTV silicone, you can mix it up and pour it into a mould (with release agent), that will give you your base, then work out how to fix the metal into it and....

I was tempted to do something like this but have no idea what to search for, excellent stuff. I would be very happy with just a flat / level base where I could affix my own 3rd party dock / mount for my HTC (below). Where could I get some of this? The area is probably no more than half a liter.

    • get a new centre console from a breakers
    • fill cupholders with expanding foam
    • cut back to flat with a blade
    • fiberglass over the top
    • attach 3rd party mount and aux in cable etc
    • use fillers/fiberglass to make mount flush
    • sand smooth
    • spray entire console with plastidip
This process should leave you with a stock looking custom mount :) Youd probably get a better price locally for a centre console. Ask this guy http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/damagedcars/4141654
