warped brake discs

I'm 99% sure this is the problem i'm having, getting pretty bad rattling under braking from speeds above about 40kph (i have a fairly hefty round-trip commute, which fits the MO for warped discs). Question is, am I better off having them replaced or turned? About how much would each run me per disc? I think it's just the front right but can't be sure, i'd probably have to have them all checked out. Cheers

    What car is it?

I'd always replace discs as opposed to grinding them down. Dont really skimp on stuff when it comes to brakes.

What are your pads like too? Sometimes they can give the same symptoms if they're really really worn.

Did you overheat the brakes at any stage? Long downhill decent?

I wouldn't bother grinding discs unless they were super expensive discs that were near new, they're so cheap on normal cars so its nearly never worth it.

It'd probably cost a bit to get them turned down anyway, so replacing them may be best since they're probably somewhat worn already.

Rattling ? Is the steering wheel wobbling under braking ?
Should be easy to check, just jack up each wheel and turn them, if theres a rubbing noise its warped discs.

Don't bother getting them turned, you should get new ones

Yeah the steering wobbles a bit too. Its a Honda Jazz. I was just looking it up and saw people elsewhere talking about getting them fixed, but i'd probably be as well to just replace them as you all say. Just got the pads replaced about 4 months ago so they should really be fine.
