RF out from Sky box to Digital only TV

    Hi,
My sister bought a new tv(saorview ready) for her bedroom. She has a coax cable from the skybox in the living room to her room and uses the magic eye to control. This was used with and older CRT TV.
Now she rang me to say she could'nt get a signal on the new TV. Thing is the TV has no analoge tuner.
So with the analog switch off Im guessing TV manufacturers are not going to waste money having analog tuners on their sets. So most TV's from now on will not be able to use the rf out from the sky box. Is there a skybox with digital out? or another alternative with out going down the mulitroom route?
    Tks

Assuming the tv has a scart input, you can use something like the Global DTA or Triax Unilink. Even an old VCR would take in the RF signal & output on scart, but wouldn't be the most inconspicuous of things.

Please post the exact make and model of the TV. Besides computer monitors nearly every TV has an analogue tuner. Often it is a seperate option in the menu,

Might be one of the Alba sets mentioned in this thread.
    Thats the one.
    Its an alba from Argos,
I can remember the model number but the Agros UK site has it listed with the following description
With integrated Freeview digital tuner this sleek 19 inch Alba TV offers access to various TV channels and radio stations for your selection, as well as providing a built-in DVD player to view your favourite movies. Features such as an auto channel scan and 7-day electronic programme guide makes this HD Ready TV great for any bedroom or kitchen. This TV has an LCD screen with an LED backlight. Please note the USB port is for service use only, and there is no analogue tuner.

No mention of this on the irish argos site

Cheapest solution is a VHS or DVD Recorder (with Analogue tuner) and then SCART to TV.

Such TVs ought to have warning stickers as people have games etc that are Analogue RF only or might be buying for a Guest house, Hotel, Office or Hospital with a small "head end".

can across one last week, so used AV extended leads and magic eye to control.
here we go, no more analogue tuners. have to buy a AV to digital modulator, only £600
