Best site to sell my property in UK & USA

I am selling my house privately and not going through an estate agent. I have advertised it in a few of the Irish websites mostly the ones that are free to sign up and advertise and have paid for one site.

But I now want to advertise it especially in the UK & USA, but don't know what are the best sites to advertise it in. I would prefer to advertise it on a site where its free, just for now anyway.

What sites do UK & USA for example check if they want to buy a house in Ireland?

    Any tips would be great.

I think the Americans use craigslist, but I'm not too sure. You tried selling it on Daft, with lots of pictures taken on a sunny day?

Yeah its on daft, on a few more Irish sites, probably not hugely popular but as they see free nothing to lose. I just really want to target the UK and US. Thanks

Rightmove is probably your best bet for the UK.

Anyone in the UK or USA seriously considering the purchase of a house in Ireland should know to look for Irish websites and with the exception of specialist holiday homes (such as Kerry or Connemara of particular attraction to eg Germans) are unlikely to look n their own domestic websites.

Marcusm, my property that I'm selling is actually in Kerry, so do you think then that Germans would have interest in this, my house could really be a holiday home for foreign clients. Where would be the best to advertise for the Germans?

    Doteen,

I have no idea what your house is like so I couldn't comment on its marketability to anyone. However, just as there are/were agencies which targeted Spanish/Portugese holiday homes to Irish people during the boom, I understand the same applies for very special Kerry/Connemara properties to Germans. There were two cited in the Irish Times this week for Clew Bay houses designed by German architects; neither of which was being sold by an Irish agent.

In the end, however, I would be surprised if 95% of prospective buyers did not check daft/myhome.
