Sky Plus Box has Frozen

I was in recording two programmes on sky plus and had tv on pause when it turned itself off and red button came on. I've plugged everything out and back in again quite a few times, the green light came on but it still wasn't working. Now I just have the red light and it won't turn on. This only happened once before but…

What's the make and model number on the label?
How many years old is it?
If it's a Thomson, the fault is well documented.
