Have to go to the work Christmas party and have been told I have to wear a suit because last year I turned up hammered to the nice posh hotel in this

Anyhoo I have a suit jacket, pretty much the same as so

Do you reckon you could get away with wearing a black jacket like that with denim jeans like so

and just throw a white shirt on or would it look silly?

Cant look any sillier than last years outfit :D but I haven't the money to be buying anything.

If you've been told to wear a suit wear a suit, or else buys some trousers to match your jacket. If you really can't afford it just wear your jeans tbh nobody will really give a sh1t

They said suit but ffs no wears it but they all look decent, not pyjams anyway :D I have no money :( so im just trying to see as ive heard wearing a suit jacket with jeans is a big no no, but it seems to look alright to me when I look in the mirror but that's just me

Seriously - if the party dress code is suit, then wear a suit. Jeans would not be appropriate. Surely you have a friend from whom you could borrow a pants? Or perhaps spend €20 in Penneys

Yeah its normally a casual blazer with jeans not a suit jacket but majority wouldn't know the difference. If your stuck don't worry about it just go, come 1am those people in suits won't look so smart

Maybe throw a jumper on with a shirt and tie?

I just can't imagine a suit jacket going with jeans. A sport coat or blazer, yes, but not a suit jacket because the larger cut just wouldn't be flattering in my mind.

What is a blazer/sports coat??? Everywhere I look that says blazer, they just look like suit jackets, where does one buy one? And whats the difference?
