This has been happening me alot lately where my ear would hit the mute or hold button. I hadnt noticed it before the ios 6 update.

was there a change made that leaves the menu in place during calls on ios 6?

    thanks

    You're holding it wrong ;)

Why is your ear touching the screen? Surely your ear should be near the top of the phone where the speaker is?

If you hold your hand over the top of the phone during call, does it go black?
If it does it should be fine as the screen won't accept input during calls when you hold it to your ear.

just tried that there now. Is there a light sensor near the camera that turns screen off during calls?
