Self Interest, Utility Maximisers

Can anyone direct me to where I could find famous questions that test an individual self interest or utility maximisers?

Like I have found some already by Nudge, Kahneman and Tversky for rationality (nudges one - In a lake, there is a patch of lily pads. Every day, the patch doubles in size. If it takes 48 days for the patch to cover the entire lake, how long would it take for the patch to cover half of the lake?)

So is there any famous examples of those type of questions but for self interest and Utility Maximisers?

    thanks
