Wanted: Mountain Bike

I have a road bike and a cyclocross bike, I would like to buy a mountain bike, I am willing to spend 4-500 anyone know a good bike that I could buy for that price range that would have good components-good enough for basic racing, I am located in Kerry.
I know plenty about road bikes etc. but Mountain bikes are out of my area of expertise, thanks for any help.

I have a 2012 cube analog,it's the blue one,it's the cube ready for race spec,it has remot lock out shock,its a nice bike but I don't think I'll make much use out of it,I can stick up pics later if it suits you,I got it with the intending to use it but more on the greenway but it has only been out 3times,I'll get pics later and stick them up,it's as good as new as you will see from the pics,size 18",I'd be looking for €550, if you are in Kerry I should be going that way soon to the wifes granmother is in Listowel so I could bring it with me if it suited,

here is a pic,i will get the bike out of the loft tomorrow and take some pics of it for you,this pic was taken just before i put it away,its as good as new,i dont think there is any marks on it from what i remember anyways,did you look up size ?

Hey Noel, any hope you'd let it go for e450? they are about e700 new and with the bike to work scheme I can get it for 500 after tax is taken into consideration, when do you expect to be back in Kerry? Thanks....

Just to let the mods know, I am making a counter offer on a bike that Zippe has available that will be suitable for my needs....

I paid €750 for it as I could not get the bike2work,if I was you I'd use your bike2work and make use of it,if I don't get asking I'll hold on to it I'll make use out of it next summer,I'm not sure when im back there I'd have to see when the wife plans to head down there,
