JobBridge as college internship.

    Hi,
    I wonder would anyone know an answer to this. I've to find a work placement for 6 months in college and I am on Back to education. Does anyone know if i'd be elidgible to take on a jobbridge internship?

    But you wouldn't be "actively seeking work" though if you're attending College and on BTE? Isn't BTE effectively a switch-over of sorts from your Jobseeker's Payment, so you'd be claim-closed for the duration of your academic studies, / "signed-off" the Dole while you are in College for all intents and purposes. But if there's any additional personal circumstances to be taken into account, it may so happen that they would err on the favourable side and look to consider you on an individual case-by-case basis. I guess it can't hurt to ask anyway.... :) All they can say is no! :pac:

    I was just thinking, if the JB Internships happened to be for shorter durations, and if your Placement was for the 3 months of the Summer where you'd be back on Jobseeker's, - if ya managed to get a JobBridge then for that length, wouldn't that just work out ideal!! :D But just a thought. :/

    The internship is for my second semester starting Feb. it's not a summer thing. guess I may ring and explain.
