    Hi there
My situation is i am currently receiving a reduced rate of JB 84.50 and that will be finished in march , my OH earns about 1800 a month after tax we have 2 kids we have some shares which we make about 1000 a year on but sell about 4000 a year worth to pay bills with and keep ticking over. I wont be entitled to JA and find it hard to find a job that would even pay for the childcare costs we would have So would we be entitled to FIS Thanks in advance.

FIS is calculated on gross pay and you social welfare payment and your shares. Add all this up for the year and divide by 52, if thats less than €602, then you may get a payment.

You can dismiss most of the above.FIS is calculated on net pay(they usually use P60 or Gross to date from payslips/employer info) and your shares aren't taking into account as a income.Your social welfare payment is taking into account.
Add net pay + social welfare and take away from €602,they then give you 60% of the difference(min payment of €20)

Its all on the link on post 2 or check out the 2 threads on here.
