This dose not come as a surprise, Israel knew damn well what was going on in that building. It was obvious that they wanted to do their best to silence the media voice while they carrier out their atrocities.

On Sunday, the Israeli army attacked a building in Gaza City where local and international radio and television outlets are housed. As The Electronic Intifada’s Charlotte Silver commented yesterday, the Israeli army spokesperson admitted clearly and candidly that the army “obviously know there are journalists in the building.”

Six journalists were injured, including a Palestinian reporter who was resting when a missile struck the building, blowing off his right leg. Our correspondent Rami Almeghari wrote an important, harrowing story about the attacks from the journalists’ perspectives.

Al Jazeera English had Mark Regev, the spokesperson for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office, on to explain Israel’s admitted targeting of the media building.

Why do so many people in Ireland have an antiIsrael approach.
To be fair the Israelis have been very patient, they have suffered endless Hamas rocket attacks.is it any wonder Israel reacted to save its people?
What is needed is a long term two state Israeli and Palestinian solution where both states can live side by side in harmony. The ceasefire is a temporary measure,it needs to be made permanent through Political negotiation

Abby Martin highlights the Israeli Military’s bombing of media buildings and targeting of journalists, including the RT office in Gaza, and calls out the Israeli government to for making veiled threats to RT’s headquarters in Moscow.

We need more real reporters and outspoken activists with guts like this!. :)

I have often wondered that myself and, for example, in this thread the OP chooses to not put the incident into any sort of context or perspective, but just look at one incident in isolation.

Bad things happen in Israel and palenstine. Bad acts are carried out by Israelis and Palestinians. To blame one side or the other is simplistic simply shows bias.

Tendency to support the little guy?
In this case not the guy being supported by the biggest arms dealer in the world.

    Just saying!

Why do you feel you have to support either side? I certainly have no compulsion to support either and simply don't understand why you feel you have to pick one side to "support". Especially in this case you are saying you support one lot of humans in their attempts to murder and maim another lot of humans, but not support another lot of humans in their attempts to murder and maim another lot of humans.

Why would anyone want to offer support to those who want to murder their fellow human beings?

I never said I did, the question asked about the Irish people in general and that's what immediately popped into my head, that's my opinion.

This thread happens every week under a different OP, I think I've made it known that I feel the Israelis have more to answer for (from what I have learned) and that they are in a better position to end the conflict for good. How can planning 3,000 more settlements be an adequate response to the UN giving Palestine some recognition? They want an end to the violence I dont understand how they expect that to help.

Anyway - Its Friday, these arguments go no where - I'm out.

It must be pointed out you posted your original post today, Friday.

You offered an excuse as to why some people support one side, and I took issue with that argument, and not with you personally. I did use the second person, which was a mistake, as my argument was about those who support one side or another, and not you.

Why you choose to post on a Friday (when your opinion is that on Fridays these arguments go no where) and then do the cyber equivalent of leaving the room with a parting shot before slamming the door seemingly to not allow anyone else to discuss with you, seen unusual.

    You're right, I apologize.

In future I will take greater consideration when posting on whether or not I will be available to get into some back and forth for a few hours.

Maybe by giving legitimacy to the plane hijackers and murderers of Olympic athletes will also give legitimacy to our own murder gangs who blew innocent people to death in Birmingham, La Mons etc

I believe the murdered athletes were "our own" also. I consider all humans "our own" and don't consider any humans not to be "our own"

Take a little time to look at who this alleged "biggest arms dealer in the world" is.
Clue: Its to the East of you, not the West.
