Hi, I have had My Sky+ HD box unplugged for a few weeks and I received the this is the wrong card for this set top box. Insert the correct Sky viewing card. Will this problem rectify itself quickly? If so how long will it take to clear? It was activated by Setanta Sports in Scotland weeks ago, it is the White Sky FTV card under the BAI scheme which I got for free through ringing and talking to Setanta who arranged for the card to be sent to me. All of my FTV channels and Setanta Freeview no longer work. I should have left my box on or on standby from time to time. Will the channels clear by themselves if I leave the box on or on standby or should I just call Setanta back again as they activated it? I already mentioned that fact earlier above. :(

Its just because you have had it unplugged for a few weeks. Just get them to pair it again.

    2 options.

Leave it in to wake up eventually.

Take the card out, power the box down, power the box up, then insert card and see if it cops it.

You have missed an ECM update. It will catchup.

I thought that it might be the case that I would have to ring Setanta back in Scotland but will it not clear itself after a number of hours or days possibly? :) Thanks Extinction.

Any idea when the next ECM update will be? How long will it take for the card to wake up as you put it? I have woken up to using the card daily now. I installed the TV Link magic eye earlier and was disgusted when all of the FTV stations were gone. My own fault for leaving it off for two weeks or so. :D:p

It will wake up at some point as STB says above but having the card paired again will do it imediately.

True, I will wait a while, maybe a day and if not I will ring, will cost four to five euros for the call though from my mobile phone. :D

Yeah if you just call them but you will need information for the account (card number, rough date installed, mothers maiden name) so have it to hand

Seems to be something about an upcoming security update.
Wouldn't you think if it was that important they would make it a bit more obvious, and a bit more advertising done about it?

I had one of those cards in my Ariva box. A few months ago, I lost the extra channels, so I stuck the card in an old $ky+ box that I had, and left it in overnight and all next day. Put it back in the Ariva box and voila - all channels back.:)

I lost the channels on my Ariva box last week ....... took the card out for a few minutes and reinserted it ...... all channels available again.

I thought it was the Ariva box acting up a little.

The card has not been in a Sky box since it was enabled first day.

No..We used that number to ring Sky direct to pair the card to a different box.

These are the contact details for Setanta. http://www.setanta.com/ie/Contact-Us/

Drop them an email with your card and box details and they should sort it within an hour.

It sorted itself out and all the channels are back as I left it in standby since lastnight so sometime this evening the card paired itself automatically, thanks everyone. :)
