Applying for jobs in a different county?

    Ok, here is my story.

I have been offered a WPP2 which I am to start this Monday. It is in administration, and I really want the experience.

However, I still fully intend on applying for paying jobs throughout, because obviously I would rather a paid job over being on a work placement in a second.

If all goes well, in the coming year I plan to move county (if I can get a job, then before the end of WP but if not, definitely afterwards.)

My question is, how do you go about applying for jobs somewhere you don't yet live? Does it hinder your chances? What do you say? I would like some advice on this, thanks in advance.

Just apply as normal. Perhaps you could also mention in the cover letter that you intend moving to XX county.

    Hope this helps!

And obviously 'I plan to be living in XXXXXX in X amount of time?'

I just think maybe it would be hindering as someone local would be the first choice (which is understandable) but would rather have something secured before making a move.

    Thank you! :)

I don't think it hinders your chances at all. Ireland is a small country, and people are very mobile. Where i work get applicants from all over the country, so we just assume people are willing to move should they get the job.
It's normally asked and clarified at interview stage.
