My other half's guitar... looked into getting a replacement, but Taylor are a bit of a nightmare, and it would be very expensive.

Try this fella - He's a Taylor recommended repair agent and judging by some of his repair pics seems to know what he's at. Some of them look a lot worse than yours does as well.

I would highly recommend Mr. Moriarty.

Depending on the year of the guitar if all else fails the necks can be removed easily and there might be a possibility of a replacement neck, not sure if I am 100% certain of this but I know for certain the past 10 years or so they are designed with a neck that can be removed for servicing. I have found in my experience taylor have been fantastic for customer support if you go through the correct channels. Get in touch with the Irish taylor dealers and follow up on it, I believe it is currently xmusic that are the main Irish taylor dealers so get them to ring taylor europe and ask about that posibility.

Traumatic amputation of the headstock is totally repairable. Always looks terminal though...

Taylor use a bolt on system, so if you can source a replacement neck, this is one way to go. Probably the most straightforward too.

John moriarty does good work. Derrick Nelson in marley park is also highly recommended. Pm me if you want a phone number for either.

    I've fixed similar.

a couple of carbon fibre strips for extra support and all is dandy.

or a replacement neck if you are fussy and it needs to look perfect!
