    How I Met Your Mother

It's in a league of its own in this category.

It went from being one of the best sitcoms on TV to being completely unwatchable.

How I Met Your Mother (not an immediate drop, more a steady 40% drop per season until it hit the floor)
Desperate Housewives (people forget how well made the first season was)
The Office (US) - from constantly funny to two laughs a season

Heroes after season 1, went downhill at an alarming rate
How I Met Your Mother, season 6,7,8 its like a whole new crew took over from the earlier seasons,
The Big Bang Theory, after amy arrived, its only getting somewhat better now
    The Simpsons season 11 onwards

    The Simpsons, season ten onwards.

I don't feel right saying anything else. The Simpsons is the daddy of the quality drop.

    The Simpsons after season 9/10

There have been a few good episodes scattered across the seasons since then but as a whole the show has gone downhill. Compare the old episodes to the recent one with Lady Gaga, huge gulf in class. Too much time spent setting the stage for the plot in the recent episodes, final 1/3 or less is a rushed execution of the plot and wrap up...I'm left looking at the screen sometimes thinking 'That's it?'

    tl;dr The Simpsons

    - Heroes. Season 2 was passable, painful after that
    - Lost. Season 1 was good. Turned to nonsense after
    - The Simpsons. Though oddly has been getting a little better in the last 2/3 seasons.
    - Sliders. Seemed to take a complete nosedive after season 3.
    - Two and a Half Men. 3 good season, then 7 years of the same formula of hot women and jokes about shagging said women.

    The Simpsons.

Like others above, I'm not bothered with 5 noms here; The Simpsons went from absolute comic genius with real heart to smug, cheap and ridiculous like no other show ever could.

The Office...around season 6, but really the seeds were sown when they introduced the characters of Holly and (especially) Erin, and moved that singing buffoon (to quote Dwight) Andy to centre stage. It used to be so funny

I would also put Only Fools and Horses on this list...the first 3-4 seasons were brilliant, really laugh out loud funny, but it started going downhill when the female characters were introduced. It became a cozy little cliched sitcom then.

Heroes: Season 2 was a big drop but Season 3's special power was to be absolute sh*t.
How I Met Your Mother: She's a $200 whore. There, saved you all more seasons of misery.
Sliders: Once Arturo left, so did the quality.

Prison Break, after S1 and especially after S2
    Heroes, same as above
How I Met Your Mother, most from the recent S8
    That '70s Show, final season
Scrubs, if Scrubs Med School counts as the last season. If not, default to The Simpsons post-S11/12

    Sons of Anarchy:
After the death of agent Stahl
at the end of Season 3 it has descended into farce, 4 was half way watchable, 5 has become a bit ridiculous.
Twin Peaks: Fell off majorly middle of S2 before picking up again
The League: One season was funny, the second was basically the same thing but still chuckle worthy by the third it has become a parody of itself
The Office US: Watch it now just to be reminded of some of the characters that used to be funny, like looking at photos of dead relatives & reminiscing
Shameless: Watched a couple of seasons then didn't no more. Haven't been witness to how bad it may have become, it simply lost me.
