Change my 2002 Ford Focus 1600cc for something smaller

Am getting a new main car, an estate or similar. However I currently have a 2002 Ford Focus 1.6l petrol with 110,000 miles on the clock which will end up being the second car.

However would it make more sense to change it for something smaller of the same year? Dont really want to spend anything on a new one. Apart from the tax being cheaper would the likes of a Fiesta return much more fuel economy to justify the bother?

I wouldn't bother, if the focus is running well, then I can't see it making any massive difference.

Everyone wants small 1.0/1.2 litre run arounds these days, there's quite few good deals to be had. I reckon the focus would be better, and not cost all that much more to run.

I don't see the point really. You might get a few quid thrown your way in the deal but you are also be buying a car that you don't know and could need money spent on it. Keep what you have and know imo.
