    I'm not sure that I agree with him saying that most people setup closed but if you watch a good player then they generally setup square, have a decent grip and have good posture; it's quite obvious that they will make a good swing.

    Most right handed people setup aiming right (not quite the same as setting up closed) because of how they approach the ball.
    If you stand behind it, take a line and then walk straight up to the ball an optical illusion will lead you to aim right of your target, so much so that if someone corrects you, it can feel like you are aiming miles left.

    If you have been suffering from this for a while your swing is probably compensating and so when you do aim correctly you pull the ball left. In time your swing/body will stop this adjustment, so its important to stick with it.
