    I called the cust service team last week to query my broadband, on that call I was told my line was eligible for 17mb which I could get on a upgrade of the service. I opted to go for it and few days later received a modem which I did not ask for nor want and today I receive a letter saying I am now in a 12 month contract.... Surely you need to inform people on the phone when you are signing them up for contracts without their knowledge. I assume the calls are recorded so I want to know what to do now as I am not happy.

    unless the recording makes it clear you would be charged then a contract is not enforceable. There is a recording for all contracts.

    Ask them to email it as an mp3 file
