Lads I have a brand new ( a few month old about about 3 mags gone trough it) G&G L85 A1 blow back I just took it of the rack today and it will not fire on semi . On full auto it is fine and was fine on semi all along until today, When I switched to full and back to semi it would and will not fire, it makes a click sound. The only thing I have done is switched the battery connector to deans, And I do not want to open it up in case I void the warranty, unless there is a quick fix to this problem, Anybody had this problem with this aeg???

This is a known fault with the G&G and the Army clone. It can be ''fixed'' but not reliably so. I had one a while back and if memory serves its something to do with the length of the piston and the number of teeth it has. I am by no means a tech and am not overly familiar with AEGS but as far as I remember if you use a piston for an SR25 which has the correct number of teeth. Do not hold this as gospel as I said it been a while since I had it.
On a side note quick trigger pulls on full should be fine as a substitute for semi. Iused mine a heap of times and never had the gearbox lock on me or any problems like that. Hopefully this was of help, I am sure someone more knowledgeable will be able to clarify further though!

No quick fixes I'm afraid. A few might be claimed but never had any that worked "all the time".

There are a few tweaks you can do which make it far more relaible but, of all the mods I've ever carried out - none really solved it 100%.
A friend who has one which rocks told me the real secret to semi-auto on the G&G L85A2...
Finger control. Leave it in full-auto and fire it like an AUG.;)

After many, many frustrating months of tweaks and mods etc - I finally realised he was right.

I think a big part of the problem is the fact that the G&G pre-cocking gearbox really needs a strong spring. Our 1J limit means a softer spring which imo, contributes to the problem. Best solution I'd reckon might be to stick in a big spring and introduce a leak (vented cylinder) to leak some of the air and reduce the power to <1J. It should help the cycle and stop it jamming.

You can also do the TM piston modification & v2 sector gear/stick in a mosfet/vented cylinder/new contacts assy/wire harness etc etc but my advice is save your money and energy, accept it's idiosyncrasies and get good with your trigger finger.

The G&G is a really lovely gun and superb build quality but I've long since sold my own and invested in the STAR version. Never a hitch in semi and the most accurate gun I own. I'd never been a fan or STAR/ARES in the past until I got this (on recommendations from other owners here) and I love it.

Best of luck with it - I really hope it's something simplier or that there's some new fix. Be sceptical...

edit: (sorry didnt see sydewynders reply - he hit the nail on the head, with less bs than me and is spot on)

The lads are right, opening up this AEG to DIY or change parts is the most reliable way of addressing the semi issue for good. Also, before buying one and after much research, I found the most common fix, is to drop in an active brake mosfet, then the issue is gone (most of the time)

For your purpose of use, a mosfet would be ace and if that is not an option, then it's time to retrain your itchy trigger finger mate ;)

The trigger master units are a great unit with many many different functions, but if it is mainly active breaking you are after this one is a very good and reliable unit:-)

I have used and fitted a lot if these units with no issues at all. My personal favourite AB unit.
