    Hi folks,

I live in France and have decided that I'm getting an iPhone. On my existing package, the iPhone 5 will cost me €140 more than the 4s (€409 vs €269).

Is the 5 worth the extra cash?

    Personal opinion, yes.

Thanks Kceire, by the thanks your post received, I'm assuming there are a good number of people who feel this way also.

I've been with Android now for long enough and so much of it just feels half-baked. I just want something that works and is finished already and that doesn't take hours of ar$ing about!

    Cheers!

I had the 4 and the 5 is light years ahead of it. The 4S is still a mighty phone and i wouldn't be dissappointed with it to be honest, but as your buying from scratch, then i would recommend you wait that extra month or so to save the extra that the 4 will cost.

We are running tests here in work for an app we are launching today, and to see the difference in front of you is amazing, my phone completes tasks twice as quick if not more than the 4 and noticeably quicker than the 4S.

If you keep the phone for 2 yrs as most do you'd probably recoup €100 of the €140 when you move it on

    Definitely the 5.

After using a 5 for a while, when you back to using a 4S, it feels really heavy and the screen is too small.

The only thing that's stopping me taking the plunge for the 5 is the amount of iPod docks in my house.. can't buy lightning adapters for them all!

a second hand 4s cost around 400, a 5 costs what, around 800 new, not worth it imo!!

    But...he's not paying 800. He's paying 409.

Also comparing a 2nd hand price to new product price which is unfair!

ehh, i think your out of your head there ninja.......they are 669 sim free from apple, but the OP is getting it from his network at a reduced price, so i stand by my claim, well worth it..

Im not being smart but, considering you dont even know how data and PAYG tarrifs etc work on the networks, i dont think your qualified enough to tell the OP its not worth it

In fairness, I did pay 789 for my 32gb 5 which is set to come on monday so he wasn't that far off the price it could have been, but the cheaper base price and going through network still stands..

Ohh i know that, i paid 599 stg for mine too, but to come onto a thread a state its not worth it, and quote the wrong prices, the OP stated he can get the 5 for 409 in the very first post, then to open another thread asking basic questions about iPhones on Vodafone PAYG tarrifs, to me just jumps out at trying to be a little bit smart or trollish, all my opinion of course ;)
