4od is available in Ireland so cant see why they wouldn't want it to be available on the sky platform in Ireland heres hoping as it would be a nice addition.

Apologies if dragging up an old thread - but, was hoping to watch a prog on SKY, 4oD, and can't find it in the list of SKY channels on our tv. Having quickly skimmed through other sources, am I right in thinking we need a broadband/telephone connection for this? Due to the surrounding terrain, we can only get broadband via satellite, and SKY is on its own satellite connection (and we do get occasional messages about attaching ourselves to a telephone line!). Not the smartest on this stuff, so would appreciate a 'simple' explanation ... thanks in advance :)

Yes you need a wireless connector or run a network cable from your router to the sky box. Be careful though because the data usage for the on demand can be quite high. The caps for sat bb can be quite miserable.

Mmm, thought it might be something along those lines. Possibly saves me from watching even more rubbish than I do now ...

Many thanks JCA for solving the problem so quickly!
