    Hi,

Does anyone has recommendations for a good female doctor in Limerick City preferrably in the Dooradoly/Raheen area, can still do City center if needed.

I saw one before but she has no interest of listening to me, and send me out in less than 5 mins (if i didn't try to drug the last 2).

    Thanks in advance.

I've gone to this place: http://www.dooradoylemedicalcentre.ie/
Its near Collin's pub in Dooradoyle/Raheen.

I've only gone for minor stuff, contraceptive repeat scripts and travel vaccines but have never had a problem with them. I've dealt with 2 female doctors in the times I've been there. Both were pleasant to deal with.

I'm fortunate that I haven't really been ill since living in Limerick but when I go to get a simple repeat contraceptive script they would generally also perform a breast check, ask if I'd recently had a smear test and ask about my health in general. On my recent visit the female GP (blond, don't know her name!) noticed I had a patch of bad skin on my face and gave me advice on how to deal with it without me even bring it up.

The doctors across the road at the crescent are bery good , three female doctors and I find Alicia Flynn very good. Think it's called the surgery.

Ifyou are willing to travel 10 mins out the road, Dr Joan Curtain, Abbeyview Adare is the best G.P. I've ever come accross, always listens, wait times pretty good, exceptional lady. :D

Boland is her surname but she is nearly on maternity leave or else has gone. Presume there will be a locum to fill in though. I've been to one of the male docs there - Dr. Cahill and he's v nice.

Totally agree with Clare Rocks, Dr Asma Khan is really good. U can just send a text to 0876093733 for an appointment.

I would definitely recommend dr. Asma khan in dooradoyle. She's excellent! She will give you all the time you need and hears you out. You can discuss your problems with her and she gets to the root cause of it. Dr. Asma wouldn't send you back with a long list of prescription medicines to be taken to cure you. She believes in more natural ways of curing her patients.
She is a specialist in women's health and is also great with kids. You can call her for an appointment on 087 609 3733
I have been with her for almost a year now and my outlook on doctors and life has totally changed for the best!

Mod Post: Guys and gals, it tends to set my spider sense tingling when I see a run of folks all trying to recommend the same service/individual/business with their first post.

It also guarantees a check to make sure that there is no online link between the accounts.

Gillian Boland is fantastic. At ease and so reassuring. Last time she was on leave her female locum was ???? Wallace.

Aisling Wallace. She's a full time GP there now too. I normally go to JP Donohoe there, but he was unavailable last time I had to go, so I went to Dr Wallace instead. Found her very good too and really nice.
