    Morning,

One of the H7 bulbs on the wifes car seemed to be noticably brighter than the other one. When the duller of the two blew I replaced both of them with new same brand bulbs, I was careful not to touch them when installing but still have same issue, one definatley brighter than the other, strange one, any thoughts?

Probably less resistance in one circuit, could be many things.
Old wiring, dirty contacts etc, have you checked voltage at the plugs?
Or it could be a dirty lense/reflector.

Check voltage at the plugs, check resistance to ground.

What type of car is it?

Nope, haven't checked the voltage on either yet to see if any difference, it's a 05 Megane
I'm leaning towards dirty contact, I'll unplug and give them a bit of a clean /spray first and see if that makes any difference

Would it be an nct issue, bulbs working & aligned ok just one brighter than the other?

If its a Megane, check all your rear lights are working correctly(stand and look while someone operates all the lights) as a wrong bulb type or corroded bulb holder on the rear of the Megans can cause all sorts of problems with the lighting system.

All other bulbs seem to be working correctly

Do you have a multimeter? Measure the voltage across the bulb and compare it to the other headlight. It's only an educated guess otherwise.

not trying to be smart or anything but make sure the bulb is fitted correctly in the lamp as they have a habit of falling out in the megane, also it is quite easy to insert the buld upside down in the lamp , an incorrectly fitted buld will seem dimmer because its not putting out the right light pattern :)
