Annual Pay Rise

I know that many people are in industries that are struggling :(, but there are some out there that are working in industries that are doing OK or are even doing well :).
    • I was wondering what pay rises if any are people seeing in those industries this year?
    • What would be seen as a "cost of living" or "inflation matching" pay rise this year?
    • Or is it simply a case that employers even in those industries are not offering any pay rises using the recession as an excuse to cut costs even if the business is doing well?

I will be telling my team what % rise and % bonus they are getting in the next couple of weeks and I am wondering what their expectation will be, the company is doing well in a global sense, but in a market under real local pressure.

Business Ok? What is your pay annual pay rise expectation this year? 53 votes

Medical Diagnostics company, Doing very well.

    Over 1/2 Billion in Profits.

Not a hope of a pay rise.

We do what the IDA say  so we'll be lucky to get a 1 - 1.5% pay rise.

10% Bonus this year, which isn't too bad I guess.

It looks like we will be paying a rise above average.

    That is good news.

Employed by a recruiter for one of the largest IT companies in the world.....get paid shockingly poor wages, get treated even worse and there isn't a snowball's chance in hell of a pay rise.
