Sand type for mortar and concrete?

    Hi,

    I've half a ton of fine sand left over from putting in a paved area. Can this sand be used for making mortar and concrete?

    Should be ok for mortar but you'd need gravel for concrete

    +1 with the concrete. If you use it for mortar it would only be good for blocklaying. you will need a sharper grained sand for plastering.
