What is the first thing you do with new mac?

    Just wondering guys...What is the first thing you do with a new Mac?
    Aside from installing essential software such as VLC, etc...
    ;)

    Here's my list:
    Put the brightness down
    Turn off genie window effect
    Show HD on desktop
    Disable translucent menu bar
    Turn off autohide the dock, but make it smaller
    Delete the silly playlists in iTunes
    Put iTunes into LIST VIEW, with artwork hidden
    Disable all the redundant parameters in iTunes like Genre and Album Name
    Make the text in iTunes much bigger with pref file
    Disable Time Machine
    Set Fn key as "Show Desktop"
    Get rid of that fanning stuff beside the Trash Can
    Delete all the stuff I don't use from the Dashboard (Time Machine, Spaces, Calander etc)

    Put it on adverts.ie and buy a good oul Windows 8 Ultrabook :D

    Then pay off a few months of my mortgage with the left over cash:eek:

    in that case the first thing you'll be doing is uninstalling the plethora of bloatware embedded on your pc :D

    Connect external backup drive.

    Install hoverzoom for chrome and safari

    De-activate notification center (for good)
