    slightly scary read,

    may be time to call a halt and take up golf or tiddle winks.
    just think of it no more worrying about putting on weight, how many calories are in that kebab after a nice feed of beer,

    Very scary read indeed. You hear so much conflicting opinions, theories all the time you wouldn't know what to be doing. I think if your concerned about any of it getting Lab tests done are a must. It is the good aul rule of thumb though, Everything in moderation.

    The key terms seem to be 'chronic' and 'excessive'. Another reason to ensure you get enough recovery time I suppose. Id rather take my chances and train, than not. But tbh at my level I reckon I'm okay. :)
