Hi I was wondering if anyone would have any info on the fingal housing liast waiting time?
I am on the three bed list started at 2700 seven years ago and am now down to around 100 quite high in the list as there are six different areas and you have to put your name down on four lists if that makes sense? as in Im on four lists but am only one person so Im guessing there are probably fourty? people max ahead of me.

Does anyone know what number you have to be to be in the "offer zone"? the lady at the council wouldnt say just that I was nearly at the top so wont be two long.
Im trying to figure it out as my daughter will be starting school next september and I have fears they will tell me I have a house but not in my prefared area and ill have no school for her to go in in the other areas. My son is in the school two but thats more easily changed then getting into a school at infants I imagine any help is much appreciated and I hope I made some sense !

I've just joined and came across your post, just wanted to know have you receive da council house and if so how long was the wait and are you in a council estate or private estate?

I'm sorry "Shedite27" but my grammar is perfect, I know how to spell and do not abbreviate, I think you'll find that there was a typo when I went to write "received a" I NEVER abbreviate with "da".

So please mind your own business.

My son his wife and 3 children have been on fingal housing list 10 years. They are in private rented accomadation but the house is currently for sale. Does any one know how long they should be waiting and if they wil have to go homeless as cannott sleep at night thinking about what will happen their children are 10 9 and 3

Any answer you get on here will be a guess. Nobody can tell you because it depends on their position on the list, how many houses are available that meet their requirements (3/4 bed?), where they have applied for (which areas), so many other things. The average wait now as far as I know is 10-12 years.
