Black Ops II & Eircom

Anyone with Eircom & using the zyxel p-660hn-t1a ipv6 router?

No problems playing online, have open NAT. But....

Everytime i want to play Black Ops 2 (Same for MW3) i have to reset the router THEN start the PS3.

Been told by Eircom....er...."support" that i need to open ports but they won't tell me how!

Went on the portforwarding site, found the type of router but the menus shown are different from the router i have. The main problem i have is what to enter in the Port Translation / Start Port / End Port bit (i know what ports i need to open just not sure whats goes in that bit) see attached image.

Any help (apart from buy a decent router!)

When you go into router setting is there any reference to a DMZ(de-militarised zone). If so you can place the ip address of your ps3 in DMZ and it should open all ports but only to that ip address. You will need to manually give your ps3 an ip address for this to work or else the router will assign it a new one depending what other devices are on it at the time you switch on your ps3 and it then won't be in DMZ.
If that fails you could try connecting through pppoe.

Went through every option in the router settings & no sign of any DMZ option. Tried pppoe, still the same problem.

Did you use eircom@eircom. Net as username and broadband1 as password. This on ps3 network settings now.

Managed to sort it out with some help from the brother!

Had the pppoe / broadband1 thing done already (still didnt work at this point) but then changed the DNS settings (on the PS3) to 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4 and set the MTU (?) to 1472.

    All is well (for now)!

Sorry, forgot to mention one other thing i did :

Go into the router settings and go network then internet (WAN)

At the bottom you'll see "advanced Setup", select that then for "PPPoE Passthrough" select "yes" then "apply".

And make sure the router firewall is set to low or off.

all i can see for PPPoE is Autosensing PPPoE/DHCP which is ticked on
